Online Integration Guide
What is Hosted Form?
The hosted form solution enables your customer to go through the purchasing process on your site, when they reach the payment stage they are passed to NetPay via HTTPS (a communications protocol for secure communication over a computer network). Along with the request important information including their name, address and the transaction value is also passed over. This information is encrypted at submission andis used to dynamically populate a payments page.
The payments page can be designed with your own branding, controlled via the NetPay Revolution portal. The webpage will give your consumer the opportunity to input their credit or debit card information and submit the transaction for processing. When the payment has been authorised your merchant specific script will be called and forwarding the consumer to your ‘Thank you’ page.
This method will enable you to accept credit and debit card payments quickly and easily with very little integration, but also without having to handle or store credit card information and consequently going through a PCI DSS compliance process.
The Hosted Form service can be branded to match your businesses look and feel. Branding is controlled through your Revolution platform access.
NetPay’s API payment processing will integrate into a number of the major shopping carts at no extra cost.
What is XML API?
The XML API option is for those merchants who want to take advantage of greater flexibility and are happy to assume additional responsibility when processing consumer payments. The merchant would take the credit or debit card details of the consumer securely, using SSL encryption from within their website. The transaction is then submitted to the merchant’s website which securely sends an XML request containing the card holder and credit card information to NetPay.
Tokenisation is the process of replacing sensitive data with unique identification symbols that retain all the essential information about the data without compromising its security. Tokenisation has become a popular way for small and mid-sized businesses to bolster the security of credit card and e-commerce transactions while solving certain elements of PCI DSS compliance for those merchants using the NetPay XML API.
The NetPay generated “token” enables the merchant to process future transactions using the same card information and is particularly useful for organisations that give their customers the flexibility to make repeat purchases without having to re-input their credit and debit card details. The card information is stored securely within the NetPay PCI DSS Level 1 compliant infrastructure.
It is worth considering adding Tokenisation to your Service Order to solve certain elements of PCI DSS compliance when using the NetPay XML API.
SchedulePay provides the ability for merchants to setup recurring credit and debit card transactions with their consumers, processing payments weekly, monthly, quarterlyor annually.
SchedulePay can be used via the hosted form, XML API as well as the online MOTO terminal.
SchedulePay agreements will continue until they are cancelled, the card expires or the payment fails, at which point a notification is shown within the NetPay Revolution portal giving the opportunity for the merchant to update the SchedulePay agreement with new details as required.
